Cully, located on Lake Geneva, is the perfect spot for wine tastings

In the shade of the Place d’Armes let your eyes feast upon the magnificent and breathtaking view of the Lavaux vineyards. Dedicated to the art of wine tasting, the Caveau des Vignerons is the ideal place to share and discover the wines of Vaud (region).

Two prestigious appellations and one grand cru

VILLETTE A.O.C.*

Vineyards to the west , from Lutry to Cully, bear the appellation Villette A.O.C , a subtle scent of perfumed limey and white flower (pear and peach bouquet). Soft, round and harmonious. it flatters the palate.

EPESSES A.O.C.*

To the east of Cully, extending towards Dézaley, is the appellation Epesses A.O.C a full-bodied and yet enhancing wine. Grown on spectacular steep inclines, these vineyards benefit from the sun’s rays, the lake’s reflection and the heat off the vineyard walls which all combine to render this wine’s delightful taste.

CALAMIN GRAND-CRU A.O.C.*

The wines of Cully fall into both appellations. However, the Calamin denomination denotes a unique earthy aroma and intense taste and has its own appellation GRAND CRU.

* AOC (short for “Appellation controlee”, a system which classifies wines acc. to their geographical origin and is a guarantee of authenticity.)

A selection of more than 30 wines

The wines at the Caveau de Cully are presented by a different vintner each week. Selected local wines offer a wide variety of fine Chasselas, Pinot Noir and Gamay. Other specialities and assemblages, reflecting the different soils found here, complete the selection.
